Download still only got to 2% its only usually used for devices you can write to.. PDAs and MP3s are the most common, but some phones and other synced storage devices (not USB hard drives) also use hotsync/active sync.. I believe activesync also has a problem.. If I remember correctly the icon that shows up in your system tray is a circle with 2 arrows (red and blue I think)I dont have a PDA or MP3, so could this Hotsync you mentioned be used for a minidisc player???? that's the only other device we use with a USB on the laptop and that works fine. | XLVI WC! ![]() ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Downloading dives with AP Vision Now I'm all confused I don't understand why it shouldn't work.I've just installed my software onto my Dell laptop and I installed the AP stuff first. When I plugged in the USB connection it asked me if I wanted to install the drivers from the CD so I clicked yes please and it says it succcessfully installed it. I've had it on here before and it worked fine. On my desktop I've got Hotsync and it has been working fine on there too. I didn't use the software that came with the cable, I used the one on the AP disk. But I can't see why any of that should make it download to about 5% and then fail. Unfortunately I can't test my head out till tonight as it is at Beanies. I've got to download it anyhow so will let you know if it works or not. If you go into Control Panel>System>Hardware>DeviceManager then down to the Ports you should see the connection in there, is it all running ok? Maybe troubleshooting might re-do it. Sorry I can't be of much help, they're just little things I keep thinking of ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Downloading dives with AP Vision I had the down load upto 60% last night then it failed again. The only thing i can think off is the low power voltage from the USB not being e-nuff. So i have bought today a USB hub which is supposed to boost the USB voltage. Dont know if it will work but it's worth a try. As the shop i bought it from said that if it does not work i can return it for a full refund. I will let you know how i get on. ATB Gareth |
