Cheers, Lawrence Oxygen is CGA 540 is oxygen, cga 580 is inert.. These fittings are available worldwide (especially the oxygen).. The way I handle various tanks is to have a convertional male din on my transfill whips, and get adapters made up for frmale din to whatever fitting I need.. this way The whip is always the same and I just need the adapters for the cylinders I am going to connect to.. Both Cga 540 and 580 are available in hand tight wheels. here are some links for your reference http://www.spmed.com/SPprodorder.asp...umber=MHN-071P http://www.spmed.com/SPprodorder.asp...umber=MHN-073P http://www.spmed.com/SPprodorder.asp...umber=MNP-211P http://www.spmed.com/SPprodorder.asp...umber=MNP-190W

| Moderator ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Gas supply cylinder fittings I bought the hand-wheel versions of the 540 and 580 nipple/nut fitting (rather than the wrench versions), connected to 1/4 npt pipe, and I connected this to a female DIN fitting. See the pic and link for more information. http://www.northeastscubasupply.com/.../adapters.html. I put male DIN fittings on both ends of my fill whip. So, I can just screw in the male DIN connector to this or any other supply tank with a similar connection. I prefer this to the quick disconnects. Sorry, this is not a UK source. But, I hope this will give you a start for what to look for. Last edited by ScubaDadMiami : 5th January 2006 at 04:01. |
