I was trying to say that, yes.

But just to clarify guys, the GCS performs flawlessly when connected. No flow rate problems.
When I disconnect underwater to plug in a different gas source the femail does not seal and flow stop. The internal valve gets stuck.
Plugging it back in again or shutting down that gas sorts it, but thats not how its supposed to work. Cleaning it up at the end of the day gets it back to normal.
I might try something other than fomblin, see if that helps or do all you guys find this bother?
Just a bit of a surprise at depth when you go to switch and gas p1sses out every where at 10bar above ambient. Your arse goes for a second before you shut down.

Cheers for the clarification!

I agree that we could work around it, but definitely not ideal... I might have to go dig out the old QC-6 connectors now...

I used swagelock hose adapter and a crimp to attache the valve+female part of coupler to a standard lp hose that goes into my dil block. The male end was attached via a swagelock hose adapter on a short lp hose that goes to the side-slung tank. The Swagelok catalog is confusing and has so many possible configurations for every fitting that it took forever for me to figure out which parts to order.

Re: Quick Sealing connects 'help'

I ended up using the GSC AP Valves connectors because they were cheap and available, but they do restrict the flow a bit......noticable when swapping over to open circuit via DSV on my classic Kiss.
It's not a huge problem, but I would like to find something better eventually
