I don't bother with this, I prefer to have a backup ccr "ready to go". I also don't think a bungee would give much reduction in volume and it would be harder to test the backup unit as the lung would be too small to breathe from. What do you think about that? Marc T
I was going to try something similar - I am playing with a set of Inspiration lungs so was going to find some way of rolling them to keep the loop volume down to scrubber and hoses. I think they will remain in one place going down, but your idea of bungee might be useful to limit them going up. Are you going to try this?

So look at that good idear for a bailout OTS counterlung Rebreather http://www.therebreathersite.nl/SemiClosed%20Rebreathers/UK/divex_sls_mk_iv.htm Are you going to try this?
My redundand rebreather is actually that: an EDO 04 turn into mCCR and a couple of backmounted CLM ( Kiss Like ) with a Ray scrubber left side mounted. You cansee here some bads pics of the first version of the rig. It as been know slighly improved and work fine, used in cave diving only. but the Ray scrubber is small and a complète safe solution need a third Rebreather not an easy wayhttp://www.smartgroups.com/pictures/openalbum.cfm?GID=1052178&AlbumID=5632153 |

With what we were discussing on the weekend, would you have enough Dil on you to enable you to put up with a couple of hours switching between OC and CC for such an occurence? |
