![]() | Hello all, just a quick report and a thank you to John for making another well sorted piece of kit. I was lucky enough to get the first dive on the finished production version of the stand/frame johns been working on today - in a word IMPRESSED!. the stand is now a permanant part of my kit and wont be comming off ( except maybe to fit the new Narked@90 "Buddy HUD"!!! explain that one john) im more than happy to answer any questions about how the stand sits/dives on the kiss, but basically its all good. In water trim didnt seem to be effected at all - used the same weight as normal and didnt notice the weight of the stand during the dive. Comfort during the dive was improved over diving without, the stand rests on yer ass rather than your lower back and after an hour in water there was certanly a noticable difference. the cam band i used worked well with the frame and held the 1.5lt suit inflator cylinder i use securley without any fuss. The stand dives great, but what was even more impresive is how much difference it makes out of the water - the kiss isnt a heavy unit but it can be a pain in the ass to carry as there isnt a handle and it swings out when you pick it up by the harness. The stand is VERY stable on pretty much any surface and real easy to pick up and carry using the the handle, a real improvement. oh and aswell as all the practical benifits, it looks bloody good too. |
