OR are you looking at the M18 and M25 thread ? Hi Joe-The valves are the Thermo 8082 RH/ LH, 300 bar, 7/8-14. For several years now I've been using some Luxfer SCBA tanks that are constructed exactly like their hoop wrap scuba tank cousins as VERY compact stage bottles. They hold 45 cf @ 4500 psi yet are only an inch taller and an inch bigger diameter (+/-) than a standard 19 cf aluminum. Tank is the Luxfer L45W. The thread is the same as the 300 bar scuba tanks, also sometime called the "Genesis thread". Keep in mind it is NOT a very buoyant all composite bottle- it is an aluminum bottle w/ hoop wrap reinforced sides. When I got my new Meg I got to thinking how they would perform when teamed w/ the rumored soon (?) to be available long duration scrubber, hence the LH valve question. Pics show some comparisons. Yellow bottles are L45W. Black is standard aluminum 19 cf. Blue is an ancient OMS/ Faber 13 cf. Best, Ken Ken |

| RebreatherWorld Sponsor ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Valve Types Ken, It's a standard valve we stock. Right Hand Left Hand We have these for the Luxfer HoopWrap 4350 psi cylinder. It has the 7/8 14 thread. We can set these up with most any pressure assembly. The ones shown are for 3180 psi and 3500 psi but we can configure them all the way up to the 4500 psi cylinders. Thanks

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Valve Types The thermo valves are ok, but they are bloody heavy, Rebreather divers definitely don't need that sticky out bit. I have CF tanks so would need M18 x 1.5, but I expect I am in the minority. I have Preece valves and it was a little hard to get to hold of them...and a little pricey. I have a friend who is trying to hunt some Draeger valves (M18 X 1.5....300 bar) so will see ![]() |
