Question looking for dry case that is suited for diving

Hey all,

I just bought myself a nice new toy, a Spot:

Spot Messenger > Home

Now, since the unit is not waterproof for depth, I am trying to find a small waterproof case, so I can take the unit with me along on dives. Probably best a hard case.

So, any of you out there have experience with small waterproof cases? What can you recommend? Should be waterproof like up to 200 feet or so.

The unit has the size of a handheld GPS, Size: 4.38 X 2.75 X 1.5” (approx. 111 mm x 69 mm x 44 mm)

Thanks for your input!

Depth rating isn't massive on them though and the gaskets aren't great... Not ideal to find out when you used them for your holmebuild's electronics... doh!!!

OMS do a lexan depth-proof can, not sure what the dimensions are though.

Unfortunately the OMS can is too small for the Spot. Its too bad the McMurdo is so damn expensive. I have an Otterbox that should fit the Spot you could borrow to see if it fits. You are welcome to take it on a few test dives with something that doesn't mind water to see if it floods. We live pretty close to each other. PM me if interested.

Maybe look on Ebay for an old Dive Rite canister light that someone is looking to dump cheap, use the housing & lid? That may be a little on the big side but there are different sizes.
