breathing hose

Hello everybody.

I want to change my old breathing hoses (dolphin) with a breathing hoses like the rb80 and another models ones. The hoses I mean are green with a kind of a spring on it.

Does anybody knows who is the manufacturer of this hoses. I think this kind of houses should not be very expensive but seller wants a lot of money for it.

thanks in advance

I'm not sure about the price but actually they are expansive.

Re: breathing hose

Aren't they made from the same material that the pilots of F 16s use?

If they are don't think theya re going to be too cheap!

They are R.E. Darling hoses.

And yes, they are expensive.

They are usually not off the shelf items since you need to tell them the type of ends you want on the hoses, and the length...

It took me ages to finally found a source that could provide them reliably...

There is a source in Germany where I got mine since they also sell (exact) Rebreather-80-copy units. They have stock of certain lengths, but anything shorter/longer or with different hose end will take longer.

Their contact is:

Hi VM,

Those " Greenie " hoses are actually Mil-Spec. breathing hoses for military application like Air Force for example. I think they are designed to withstand nuclear blasts (very tough). If you don't mind having a smaller diameter hoses you can always source it from military-surplus shop like the one I got in the pic. From what I know the Manufacturers - R.E.Darling / Herbert Cooper only sell you bulk not to mention it is rather expensive.

The set I have is 30" in lenght with a 1-1/4" O/D and hoses end of 7/8" I/D .
The good part is no hose wieghts required as the ss spring is a weight by itself.

Hope this help.
