Rebreather and deco computers

another ? for the vets.
I will get trained and own an evolution in the next 2 years.so my ? is what computer would you add to your dive kit ? as a back up.
the main reason for asking is ,say during the last part of a dive the computer on the evo fails . what are the best options ,I always dive with buddy so a safe ascent useing his comp for depth and speed of ascent {I am asuming the Rebreather is still working on manual or I have bail out to oc}and safety stops .I just perfer to be totaly indepentant of my buddy and use him or her for company and friend ship .
as I do not know the computer companys some web links would be nice.
thanks

Re: Rebreather and deco computers

They all Have their pros and Cons but your choice will be between

1 - VR3
2 - HS Explorer
3 - Shearwater

Which you choose will come down to how you rank variosu things like the decompresison algo they use, the location of the supplier etc etc

Or the Heliox Tachyon www.heliox.com, posting on here occasionally too. Product not yet fully released but it's definitely a 'known unknown'...
