best rebreather wing

Hi
I was wondering what was the "best" wing to be use with a reberather given that we are looking to get as less boyancy as possible at the top of the wing to better the trim (for a majority of rebreathers)
regards
jean mi

remember you can change the shape of your wing by restitching the outer cover.

I use a Diverite rec wing on all my units (modified slightly at top to minimise top vol) - works really well

Yes I did that on my rec wing , but I am not totaly happy because the restriction reduces the total volume of the wing and in addition this wing is not wide enough at the back, I don't have enough space btw my back and the rebreather shell , all of that reduces even more the total volume of the wing.

so I was wondering which wing specicaly made for rebreather existed.

Re: best rebreather wing

No need for a wing at all, just down a couple of tins of Thai REDBULL and hey presto; it gives you all the wings you need for a ten hour dive.

Re: best rebreather wing

On a more serious note I use a Halcyon Pioneer and bungee the top half (Doing it wrong) and it’s very compact and works a treat with a dry suit. The LP inflator is nice and short and routes perfectly on my mg, coming inside the loop so I can access it without searching.

I do believe golem and halcyon have made wings just for the CCR market

Re: best rebreather wing

Hi
I've a friend that uses the Halcyon CCR35 first in a Submatix and now in a MEG.
I've seen him in the water and the trim is absolutely DIR

Best
Mikel

Re: best rebreather wing

I use the Dive Rite Nomad Wing, which uses elastic bands at the upper portion of the wing to ensure the majority of the lift is concentrated at the bottom of the wing.

I've been very happy with it's results, especially when using it in conjunction with Dive Rite's Sidemount System.

Re: best rebreather wing

Another vote for the DSS Rebreather-40 but that's on a Meg. No idea how it'll work on a homebuild.

The wing is simple, well designed and made from top quality materials.

Re: best rebreather wing

I use a Deep Outdoors wing. I have not seen many around on the east coast USA. I can''t say how it compares to others since it what I had and it has done the job. I have used both the 40lb and 55lb lift models.

Black Fusion™ Bladder [02170] Deepoutdoors Deepoutdoors

It has a very low profile at the top and the length has worked on a Inspiration, Classic Kiss and Meg. The dump is at the bottom left and easy to access with the left hand. I did change the inflator hose length as it was too long for cave diving.
