Where can I get a drysuit measured/fitted in EU?

Bloody hell its hard getting settled into Holland, and I'm a legal immigrant....6 weeks to get a personal internet account sorted out...very nice location by the way, in spite of the customer service. Hope I can stay put here for awhile.

I am likely to get a new drysuit measured fitted in Canada or USA, but I'd like to check out more local options.

Where's the best diveshop close to The Hague if any? Willing to cross the channel.

Gilles,

Try O'Three - Scuba
Ri 2/100 made to measure, very hard wearing suits, exceptional service.

Don't limit yourself by the location of the manufacturer or by what the local dive shop carries.

I recently ordered a very nice suit and did the sizing myself. I am no sizing expert either. The measurements page that I got was simple and was broken down into easy to understand locations. Needless to say my suit could not have fit better when it arrived. If you were really worried about the sizing then slip the measurement guy at your local suit store a $20 and have him do it.

If you are in California or the US, then DUI is the place to get a drysuit.

Re: Where can I get a drysuit measured/fitted in EU?

Another vote for O'Three, superb suits. If one of their vast range of off-the-peg sizes doesn't fit they offer adjustment or full customer service.Had mine made there, went to try it on mid-way through and they tailored the fit with tape measure and chalk like what they do in a "proper" tailors, not that I've ever been to one mind!I think I was there over an hour discussing dump valve location, amount of material under the arms for movements and other trivialities! I'm not sure it counts for much but in our small club there are 6 people with O'three, all have moved from Trilaminate suits- they just don't seem robust enough (even dare I say Otter and Polar bear)That said- long trot from Holland (Weymouth doesn't have an international airport)

Gilles...

Hi from Weymouth.. O3 is not so hard.. AMS - Southampton with FlyBe.. cheap and cheerful airline.. Train station is 30 secs from front door of Southampton airport and train comes to Weymouth every 30 mins!!

I have an Otter suit.. but my next one will be an O3!!

Alternatively I can bring it across next time Im lecturing in the Learning Centre!

One other option: Procean / Drysuits direct (DrySuits-Direct.com) ...these guys are based near Gronigen in North of Netherlands and also do made to measure

Re: Where can I get a drysuit measured/fitted in EU?

Thanks to all for your advise.

Touched the North Sea for the first time with a bare foot. Eeeyouch, not the bath-tub like temperature of the South China Sea.

I'm afraid, with all the changes in gear/people/surroundings, I'm gonna have to go back a few steps and be more of a newbie again. Regardless, the enthusiasm remains....
