We had no problems with SpheraSorb earlier this year - even taking some 1kg pouches in our coat pockets.
I wouldn't rely on the smile and turn up early approaches, Natasha and I got stuffed for an extra £320 going to Sharm in February this year. I think the check-in staff for Monarch and other charter airlines have been told to enforce the regulations / screw you for as much as they can and it'll be between £6 and £8 per extra kilo.
Have fun,

Robert
No, dont think so Brittannia was £60 for 15kgs + 5kgs free last time I went with them.

trouble is they all change their minds like the bloody wind and what the airline says is not what happens at the check-in.

Smiles it is then... :ra zz:
Well I hope they don't say that about silver card holders too as Lou has one

Hi M8

I STRONGLY advise you to book the excess baggage. £30 for 15kg. We did and had no problems and the chap that didnt got stung for £200 excess baggage.

We took whole 20kg tubs and shiped them in hold luggage with only a littel coercing. I told them its the stuf we breath and I did away with the hazard sticker and prezented them with the transit documents.

Last three budget flights I have been on they weighed and tagged my hand luggage.

ATB

Re: Experiences taking Sofnoline with Monarch airlines...

And of course its only one way (to take it out). I'm thinking that a tub with documents but corrosive sticker taken off as excess baggage is the way to go . 15kg will do most of the week, even if not all of it - 1 fill a day should work for warm 30m diving, so 5 days are taken care of...

And you can leave the kitty litter and the tub behind when you leave!!

Five fills is £100, or £30 as excess luggage...

Or have I missed something?

cheers
Ed

the £50 of kitty litter therefore only an extra £20 to get it out there

em they threatened to charge me unless i took someting out my main luggage but of course i needed tht so they said take it to lost lggage and leave it there then take it round to oversize they wopuld trust me so being fom stoke i exploited there good nature and took it round to excess baggage and siad that heavy where they just stck a sticke on and no worries!
