I started with them and went through three or four of them. The pressure transducers all failed within a year or two & the company wanted way too much to repair them. I switched to a less expensive unit from Cole Parmer. ( Cole-Parmer: Scientific instruments and lab supplies including digital microscope cameras multimeters pressure gauges nitrile gloves flow meters silicone tubing mixers and more ) WU-68332-16 Ashcroft Digital Pressure Gauges It's $210.00 US. They've held up for many years. That being said, I don't rely on the digital stuff that much. I also have a decent standard oil filled gauge that serves me very well. As you know, mixing is a bit of an art form and after a while you get to know your system and what it does at various temperatures. With mine I'm pretty much dead on when using the old oil filled stuff. If I were doing it over, I probably wouldn't spent the extra $$$$ for a digital gauge, but would have two good oil filled gauges in line.... One with a large dial. Richie |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Suggestion for Digital Pressure gauge One question to ask youself, is the system output with the gauge after a booster? I had a digital on the output of the booster and removed it for a good Ashcroft gauge. If someone wanted 2000 psi and the gauge hit 1990 they kept hitting the booster to get the last 10 psi rather than going to 2100 and letting it settle a few minutes. I do have and use them, just not on the system with the booster. The gas temp has to settle to get a good reading and with the Ashcroft I just add a little extra. If I need a presion mix I let it cool overnight before I add the next gas to it and will usually have to top off the gas that was added yesterday to the correct pressure. Later Paul |
