left yellow cover on (so david keeps the sexy black one)
As Christian says, the most important mod I made was flick the yellow cover and replace with nice black Carbon Fibre. Surely this mod alone lets me dive 3 times deeper and four times longer.

The unit already had HH (Rev B) handsets (The jury is till out on those) and APV ADV.

Other mods include:

(1) OMS 94lb dual bladder wing, OMS Backplate (keyhole cut-out to allow for the manifold);
(2) 4th Cell and VR3
(3) My trusty rusty Drager panorama and Golem BOV (this goes where I go)
(4) Golem sidemount
(5) O2 2nd stage off manifold with freeflow stop valve.

Re: have you modified your rebreather poll

Started with a classic inspo, changed:
1) Oxycheq wing
2) SS backplate
3) Howel ADV
4) Ditched autoair and went with a Tech 50
5) HH with dual deco
6) EAC adapter
7) Adding a Howel BOV

Other than that it's stock

I use two first stages one for the solenoide one for the CMF, therefore I can shut either system down without effecting the other.
The constant mass flow however is adjusted to slightly less than what you would have for a classic mCCR. So if i shut the solenoide down ( did this on my last dive 50 mtr for 45 min b-time, as i was running low on O2 in teh onboard tank).

ok thanks for detail.

when you say I shut the solenoide down, do you mean you turn o2 solenoid tank off or do you switch off electricaly the solenoid electrical supply ?

Re: have you modified your rebreather poll

SS back plate
DT Box
2 x 7lt cylinders backmounted (50% bailout & Tmix dil) 2 or 3 ltr O2 mounted behind
Dive rite rec wing - inflator routed under left arm
Bail out tmix reg from dil around neck (no auto air)
50% bail out reg stored in bungie on wing on LHS.
Rig okay to 60m with no extra side slings.
Bit heavy - but great in the water & very easy to kit up especially when feeling sea sick (major consideration for me!)

Looking to get a BMCL shortly

I prefer to turn teh supply tank off as this allows me to use the handsets as independent monitor. However in case of a cell failure and as you cant switch off the alarm on the inspo classic I might consider switching teh handsets off and drive the unit with the HUD.

cheers
christian

Re: have you modified your rebreather poll

I just started making some new changes this week...

1) cut of the velcro straps on the counter lung and replaced with bungee.
2) replaced the counterlung crotch strap with fastec buckles and a bungee.
3) added a wrist strap to the secondary computer
4) mounted Halcon explorer wing
5) Halcyon SS back plate
6) removed the gauge covers
7) mounted faber steel 100's for DIL and O2 (working on a modular system)
8) added 8lb radial scrubber

Why not just sidemout AL80s with 19s or 20s on the unit?

Re: have you modified your rebreather poll

I was doing some really big saw tooth profiles at 200' that caused me to use almost all of my DIL. My OC gas planning took into account a full bail out on thirds so all i needed to do was off board gas to keep the meg running, but I didn't have anough air for the BC, so now I'm playing with a lot of different options.

Gotchya. Having dived steel 100's on OC, I can imagine that would be one heavy unit.
