Hi, Nice UI and interesting software,
No For busg.
  • To me it’s a bug (amusing but still a bug) the gradient factors allow you to put negative numbers or number above 100. The effect is that you could do deepstops at depths lower than your dive and the shallow stops almost disappear.
  • Can’t find a way to save dive plans.
  • Although I use metric version there are still some imperial measures (SAC)
  • A Diver should customize the descent and ascent rate.
  • Customize Last Stopt Depth
regards

As to your point about Gradient - I know some people made of nothing more than bone that may find the use of 110% useful - Actually, since they are simple numbers, I didn't really want to limit the values in the case of using it as a "what-if" tool.

If I got enough people saying they wanted it limited, it's obviously very easy to do.

Ascent/Descent - Coming soon

Metric/Imperial - Yup - Working on those.

Saving - trying to come up with something creative for this.

So a bug that I am seeing is that you put in your deco gas but it's not showing the gas switches.

breals - Click on the "Details" for the plan (showing sideways) and the exact depths/gas/times will be shown. The actual switch IS occurring, and the gas usage is being shown, but the switches are NOT *listed* yet. This is coming soon. However, it *IS* being taken into account for the profile.

Here is a comparison between your deco program and MV-Plan:

Dive (metric): 65/25-10/52-1.3
Same GF, same ascent and descent rate (10m/mn)

Code:
(1) 36m - 2
(2) 33m - 2
(3) 30m - 2
(4) 27m - 3
(5) 24m - 4
(6) 21m - 6
(7) 18m - 6
(8) 15m - 10
(9) 12m - 15
(10) 9m - 20
(11) 6m - 33
(12) 3m - 50
Code:
MV-Plan 1.4.4
Configuration : GF=30-75
    m Durée Total Gaz SP
==============================

Re: New FREE Beta Deco Software for Linux/Mac/Windows - Need Testers

Hey!

I like it!!

On my first look ... (ie, 15 mins of playing)

Nice to haves:

- A 'help' menu

- Units on the end of numbers in the graph pop-ups
(ie, OC Bailout Required - L or CuFt?)
- I'm on Imperial, so most likely CuFt, but it would be nice to be sure)

- An option to convert the waypoint depth between metric/imperial automatically

Bugs: (AKA, undocumented features )

- I entered in a few number and got a really wonky bailout
- go to 67 ft for 1 min
- go to 67 ft for another min
- go to 37 ft for 2 min
- go to 60 ft for 8 min!!!
This is what I entered as far as waypoints:
20/2-21/0-1.3
100/8-21/0-1.3
60/22-21/0-1.3

- I couldn't get the profile details to go back to chronilogical order after accidently sorting by depth
- It did fix itself when I changed the profile
- Why would you want to sort a bailout profile by depth, CNS, PO2, ...???

- Real time update doesn't apply until you change a number
- ie, change to metric, it stays imperial until you edit a 'non-menu'

(I have't read all the posts, so forgive me if are repeats)

Also nice to have: on the graph, very light gridlines.
