Urgent: looking for sorb in Singapore

Hi all,

we have a trip planned in May to Komodo (Adventurer 2 - Archipelago Fleet). We are the first rebreather divers on their liveaboard but they really want to become rebreather friendly and are in the process of ordering a large shipment of sorb. Due to a customs delay the sorb will not arrive on time.

The manager of the Archipelago fleet will be in Singapore this week and offered to pick sorb up for us and take it with him to Bali. That is what I call service!

Who knows a good source for sorb. It has to be fine granular, the brand is not that important (Sofnolime, Sodasorb, Spherasorb, ...)

Thanks,

Peter

Re: Urgent: looking for sorb in Singapore

You can get Grace Sodasorb from Advanced Marine (need to do a web search, but you can drive down to Jurong and pick it up). It was about $175 sing last year. Also DSRG has some Divesorb. And Dr Mike posted something about a crate of sofnolime last year, but I don't know what happened.

Hope this helps

Dave

Dave,
thanks for the info. Sodasorb would be ideal. We use it here as well.

What is DSRG?

Peter

You can get Dragersorb Pro from Mr Khoo at Koni Investment. I paid Singapore dollars $60 for 4.5kg, but it may well be cheaper for bulk.

Koni Investment Pte Ltd - Singapore (SG), Asia

sorry for delay in responding to the email im in phillippines diving. Info sent in email. basically i think you will be hard pushed to find fine granular.

Advanced marine (sodasorb ,both grades are big)
Trim systems (large grade softnolime)
Koni investmenst (dive sorb)

I can check see if i have any fine grade softno - but doubt i have full keg

Re: Urgent: looking for sorb in Singapore

What would be the recommended sorb for an Evolution and Inspiration if no fine granular sorb is available?
