I'm sorry.. but this test is utterly inconclusive, simply trailer science!!

As you well know, according to CE 0104 (USN 04/01) the soup must be formulated as per BS SH1Tand has to be maintained at a constant temperature of 85 deg C (god knows what this is in deg F and frankly, who cares?!!). The test should be performed in a pressure cooker at an ambient pressure of 4 bar (equivalent to 28m soup). As the human is such a poor judge of light, photo voltaeic light sensors should be placed in the mask.

Instrumentation of pressures, temperatures and light should be calibrated before and after the test and a full test chart produced recording the consistencey of the soup as well as all other relevant parameter. Testing will be performed in the presence the soup manufacturer.

What you have produced is simply an amateurish attempt to distroy the market share of tomato and sweetcorn soup producers to gain an unfair trade advantage - some may even regard this as carpet bombing using innacurate and unrepresentative data.

Sir, I consider you a traitor to the cause!!

Steve

Its comments like this that started the Boston Tea Party. Do you want to be responsible for the Seattle Pea Soup Party? Frankly, it not my cup of tea.

Steve,

Clearly your post demonstrates your lack of knowledge of the standards. NORSOUP T/OSSR clearly indicates that BS SH1T only be used when meat products are included. We all know that you cant have pea soup without ham.
Anyone from or who has been to Adelaide, will know that without question, the only way to eat Pea Soup, is with a Balfours meat pie covered in dead horse floating in it.

For anyone who has NFI what I'm on about, take a trip to Adelaide, but if thats impractical, you might want to try this link. Pie floater - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

But you of all people should know that as long as you're using a product which has been tested and meets BS EN ISO 4074:2002 then you shouldn't have too much to worry about....

From now on, all manufacturers should design the intensity of thier HUD'S to, at a minimum, pass the GILL PEA SOUP Test! Bravo Gill for setting the bar and creating the "first global standard" for HUD design!

I'm definitely stopping by the supermarket this evening and picking up a few cans of split pea soup and putting my Hammerhead HUD to the test - What's the recommended brand - Cambell's or Progressive?

Geez...here we go again!! You can't just use ANY soup... it has to be a carefully calibrated soup available only to test houses at a very special rate. you really should try to get current on the BS H1T protocols!!

Now I've almost had enough Bundy to think that maybe we need to test the Aussie version and see if the HUD will work while immersed in such a delicacy.
