Evidently add self-deprecating humor to the list of things that don't translate well on a forum Translated just fine. Sometimes you fruity poms forget that us Aussies have a drier sense of humor than you do. My comment wasn't a dig at you at all, it was my own self depreciating acknowledgement that I had been arguing with someone that I know to be a Hyperbaric doc. .Curiously, I have now lost this argument twice. Once at a pub, where I was arguing that it was better to deco at 6m, and now here where I argued that it was better to go to 3m. I'm more eloquent drunk. As for the 'bubbling helps deco', I thought this discussion had shown that the diffusion of gas from tissues into blood was the limiting factor. Therefore, even though bubbles in the blood might help move gas around more quickly in the blood, it doesn't aid the process of getting gas out of the other tissues - which is what we are really trying to achieve. Bubbles in blood don't seem to hurt. Bubbles in muscle or fat etc. do. Mike
