Question Cooper Hoses

Does anyone know if you can fit Cooper Hoses on an EVO? Just curious to know if anyone has done it and how it worked out. Thanks

Re: Cooper Hoses

they dont lend themselves to short lengths (OTS lungs) because they are stiffer than other types.

Re: Cooper Hoses

Aren't rEvo's back mounted CLs? they are enclosed in that pretty SS case, yes?

I would think as with a Mk15 the only challenge is attaching the hose to whatever fitting is used at the CL and then to whatever DSV/ BOV is being used... though that really wasn't a challenge... just use hose clamps!

Hoppy he is talking about an EVOlution not a rEvo!

(You're right you can fit the Cooper hoses to the rEvo, following Dave Sutton's post I have done the same).

Can't see the point in fitting to an Evolution or any OSCL configured unit, as said above.

Cheers,

Dave Cooper.

Dave (Sutton) did a nice exercise, but personally I can't see the point at all to fit cooper hoses to the rEvo :-)

what helps improving WOB is change the 90° hose connectors into straith connectors: I did that as a test

in the worst CE test setup (75l/min) it decreases the WOB with nearly 0.5 joule/liter, but in normal diving conditions (30l/min) it decreases less then 0.15 joule/liter... so for normal diving not noticable

regards

paul

hoses are AWESOME for scooting... no hose wobble. for destructive types like me things that are more difficult to break are mo' betah!

...and they look cool, there has to be a little be of bing on every rig, right?

Re: Cooper Hoses

I just got a set of Coopers and am putting them on.

my question.

Do you use hose weights on these?

I have the bling hose weights from jetsam and they don’t seem to want to go on and not sure if I should force them on or if I even need them.

thanks
Billy

You don't need them Billy just have to reach a little more to get the loop back if you bailout and let it go.

Cheers,

Dave Cooper.
