I don't think we need more legislation, it just needs to be applied when things aren't right. The result of the case which spawned this thread might be a watershed in that respect.

I think we are fortunate to have such a large choice of equipment right now, and if one unit has poor features it can be re-enforced with additional equipment that doesn't have those features - to suit recreational and not government budgets. No unit is perfect after all, nostalgia for Naval equipment not withstanding. That doesn't mean we shouldn't be relentlessly trying to build a safer unit however.

I want the 2 hours of my life back from reading 32 pages of this crap.
Compete waste of time.
I hope Alex gets his ccr to market soon, becuase Im going to be the first one to buy one so I can go out and kill myself on it. Then I want my family to sue the hell out of him for not making it safe enough becuase I died on it.

And it had that ce cert that said it was so safe! What the hell went wrong?
