What you do is curve the metal D of th cam band to more closely follow the curve of the cylinder. Snoopy loops round the cylinders will probably help too and stop any scratching going on
Thats the general idea, hence the rubberising, etc. Can you get cam bands that are bendable to do that? Hopefully there'll be something at the diveshow... I need to find something to make up some snoopy loops from, but they are on the agenda as well.

cheers

Re: DT Box knock-offs on E-bay

The canister is made from 2 mm aluminium. It was anodized by Green Force in Belgium (the guys from the green diving lights). The canister weighs 2.5 kg. The tanks are attached with metalsub brackets.

I used the Mark Meadows low profile backplate (www.golemgear.com) and a 55 pound wing and harness from EXD (www.dtuag.de).

I am surprised to hear that it weighs only 2.5kg, good job!

We briefly contemplating about similar shape and material, but went with a different design to keep the weight really low, and be able to keep a few cool features open.

5 prototypes are being assembed at the moment, should have some pictures to post early next week. Then our "Chief Crash Test Dummy" (not me) will test it out... then production time just in time for everyone to get one and fly to Winter warmwater getaways...

Looking forward to seeing your design. Any idea about the price?
