Actually its not very much like my box at all, but it is almost a direct copy of Janbox, just not so good quality PCdiver any chance I can see the pics of your cylinder back mod? Dave

No, I just meant that it is a good and interesting idea. And I will see about chasing it down if possible.

Well, you can't say that since the design isn't finalized yet...

Anyway, I have corrected the original post.

I thought so too, but I knew what he meant... Hence it is in the gallery as Janbox as well as DTBox. I've not see a Janbox in the flesh so I cant comment on the quality of that, but for £200 (yes, you get what you pay for) it is a great improvement on the weight / trim front, will definitely take a bashing, and I never liked the yellow boxes anyway!!

cheers

Ed

My "box" is being anodized. I'll post a pick by the end of this week.

Because I have made the hoses come out the side of the top, they slightly get in the way of the top of the dil bottle. This means it is hard to hold it in position, tighten up the cam band, and leave much gap under the valve without it contacting the frame at the base. The same applies to the O2 side (see photos). I'm about to try getting a double banding system in place, possibly backed by rubber / neoprene, to hold them where I want them. My current setup doesnt seem to really grip them tight enough to stop them slowly sliding down. If I was to move the bottles further back, this wouldn't be a problem, but I'm doing this so that they are as close as possible to my body.
It might be worth trying modified Cam bands rather than the simplt bands from the stock inspo...

What you do is curve the metal D of th cam band to more closely follow the curve of the cylinder. Snoopy loops round the cylinders will probably help too and stop any scratching going on
