what Stuart forgot to tell you is that the one in Derbyshire is VERY toxic, since we've been there 5 years ago, we had a six finger growing up on the left hand, we lost a few neurones, and we are nowadays narked at -10m on air (that's why I dive Heliox even at -10) ... and by the way to access the shaft you need to go 1/2h against the current at knee deep we were so tired we didn't dived it

Good fun once you're in there! It's like an Indiana Jones location.

The way out was fun though! Lie back and float for 1km in the dark but forgot about the little waterfall at the end! Lucky Shona had such a big arse, it made the landing more comfortable when I got spat out on top of her

Re: What's the deepest quarry dive in England?

I can not offer a quarry only another mine complex in Gloucestershire , Noxon park iron mines with some areas shown on old surveys to go down to 300M plus. An interesting dive with small tunnels linking large chambers up to 50M by 20M . Andrew.

Re: What's the deepest quarry dive in England?

Please could some one tell me why my reply was deleted?

I merely pointed out that I would not want to see some one replicate this foolish behaviour and have to have multiple trips to the chamber.
