1. why does anyone buy an mk15 to try to convert it into a SCR hombuilt?
2. I dont know anything about old double hose regulators, but they freeflow?

1. I think he only bought hoses/dsv for project, not a (semi) complete mk15

2. yes, they can freeflow, when you have mouthpiece higher then 1st stage.

The MK15 and MK15.5/16 have different fittings, so his can only be either or.
I wouldn't trust his assesment f where those fit.
