I have a Haskel and have rebuilt a number of them, I must say that the one time mine made a little BANG it was nothing as serious as this. I shut everything off and took it apart to find slight damage in the piston area, replaced a few parts and I’m back up and running. Nothing left the Haskel, or caused any damage outside the pump…..

The design in side is venting any gas that makes it past the piston to be carried away and mixed with the drive air, at ATM.

I know guys are always looking for a better way (cheaper), but with life support, I wouldn’t compromise with cost.
