![]() | Re: Dry Suit with Chest-Mounted Rebreather Robert, That was, in fact, my greatest worry with that proposed arrangement. The smartest way would SEEM to be the thigh or hip-mount for the inflator, and then plug the resultant chest hole with the extra exhaust valve, as you described. As I believe JAAP mentioned, this demands judicious arrangement of the hoses, but really, doesn't ALL diving come with the same demand? Nothing to it but to do it. Worse comes to worst, I'm in the market for a newer, better, shinier dry-suit, and perhaps a little smarter for my effort. I'm certainly smarter for having consulted the experts, so again, one and all, much thanks!I would advise against swapping the places of your valves, it may prove difficult to remove the LP hose in the event of a runaway inflation, but more importantly you would have to roll onto your back to dump when necessary, trust me, that is not the most comfortable position on a chest-mounted rig. Cheers, Dave. ![]() Last edited by robertfondren : 4th February 2008 at 07:39. Reason: credit where credit is due |
