Size on lungs???

Question 1: How do you know witch size on the lungs you should have when you are going to buy a Rebreather for the first time?

Question 2: I did my second Rebreather dive ever today with a Dräger FGT, and I felt when I exhaled that I couldn´t exhale all the way out, and when I inhaled the same but opposite... The result was shallow breathing and a small headache, very small...
Is the reason for this to small lungs?

Thank you in advance!

Re: Size on lungs???

all depends on the Rebreather you are getting as to what sizes you can get.

i have a KISS and you can have any combo of 2,4 or 6lts lungs, i curretnly use a 2 and a 4 total 6 lts.

it is basically just over my capacity, ie with a full breath, i can not quite fill the lungs and conversely when they are full i dont bottom them out,

the main advange is that i et very little change in bouyance as any expanded gas goes out the over pressure valve

1) get something very just over your lung volume

2) most likely yes

This goes for the Inspiration / Evolution;

Counterlung Options:
There are three sizes of counterlungs: M, L & XL. When wearing trousers with a belt and a T-shirt, measure from the lower edge of the belt at the front, over your shoulder and down to the belt at the back. Take the measurement on inhale.

Under 110cm- Medium counterlungs.
Over 110cm- Large counterlungs.
Over 125 cm - XL counterlungs

I assume other manufacturers have similar information available.
