| Johnny The Hatch ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Hi Guys, new HAPPY owner of a Meg i am ![]() Sold my KISS yesterday and i will be getting my meg on Oktober 28th... Honestly, i can't wait... I did this once when i bought the KISS, had to wait for 3 months it was horrible and now again the same thing again. Anyway i am searching for a specific aritcle that i have seen. And ofcourse when you need it you cant find it If you look at the end of this page http://www.customrebreathers.com/the_real_thing.html you will see a picture of a yellow case with a meg in it. Now i have seen a page when Leon is going through how easy it is to travel with. Where there are many pictures of that yello page plus more of them. But i cant find it! And i have a second question, its mainly for Stuart (Because he has experience)... When travelling from the UK to Cyprus with the Meg. OR anywhere... Is there going to be any problems? I was planning to have it as a carry on. But i am afraid they will stop me and think i am a terrorist How do you travel with the meg...So Stuart i think you have to change my unit for the trip to Egypt. /Jonny |

I have found that a magazine article is a useful thing to have. I also have a few Meg brochures that may be useful in describing the unit to security staff. PM me if you would like me to send you (or any other Meg owners) one. Disconnecting the battery leads from the battery boxes seems to make people happier as well. When travelling from the UK to Cyprus with the Meg. OR anywhere... Is there going to be any problems? ![]() ![]() | Have only had one problem, which was going through Brisbane airport (which has a reputation for this sort of thing). They thought it was too heavy to go onto the plane as carry-on luggage, and wanted me to check it in. The stuffing around nearly made me miss the plane. Other than that, I haven't had any issues travelling with it, Thanks, Robert

| Johnny The Hatch ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Hi Robert, now this is exactly what i am afraid of, some smart ass on the aiport either deciding the last minute its too heavy of it looks to much of a bomb, so i will have to check it in. Not having time to get my suitcase back to repack, i would have to send it in a soft carry on case not to miss my flight and therefor breack the unit somehow... /JOnny |

Hi Robert,I had exactly the same problem at Brisbane last October, on the way back from the Solomons. Some over zealous gimp tried that on with me and I managed, just, to talk my way out of it. I find the quote '£6000 of life support equipment' generally makes them think twice about putting heads in the hold. Cheers, Dave Cooper.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | When we did our trimix trip to Egypt some of the divers turned up with 20kg tubs of Sofnalime. ???? The cehck in girl was very concerned even when we showed her the MSDS. She wanted head office aproval that it could be alowed on the plain. Then I said: "Look love this is the stuff we breath..." She relented after that and we got to go play divers. ATB Mark Chase
