KLM just became anti-diver

KLM have just adopted new rules for dive equipment.

Formerly divers got a free 20kg extra and a maximum weight of a bag was increased to 32kg. Under the new rules you have to ensure no bag weighs more than 20kg and if you can't get your dive kit and your clothes into the standard passenger 20kg allowance, then the dive kit is charged 150 Euro.

The cheap airlines, such as Globspan and Zoom, now seem to outperform the full rate airlines on all counts. Zoom allows unlimited weight of dive kit.

It does not matter how much weight allowance KLM give you they loose your bags anyhow, Air France, their partners I believe are equally shite as well.

Having worked in the Flight Simulation business and seen the quality of the senior airline instructors we met there are very few airlines I sit happily in.

JAL and DHL I like.
Libyan Arab Airlines and Aerolineas Argentenas you'll only get me on board tied up, drugged and nailed into a crate.

Nope, I've been Royal Wing, then Platinum for the last 8 years. I'm thinking of ditching them now on principle. I've spent 6 figures with them every year for as long as I can remember in my company. I doubt they will give a shit though.

20 years ago Schipol used to be a beautiful airport, very tranquil with sparrows flying about inside. Now it’s just another cattle market and the fare paying passengers are the luggage. Check their policy on over booking seats, then bumping customers at check in. KLM = Cheesy
