Unhappy Drager Rebreather

I found out today that Aqua Lung will no longer support Drager units. They will fill existing back orders but will not be placing anymore orders to Drager.

If anyone has other sources for parts, let me know.

Re: Drager Rebreather

TecMe is a good source and easy to order. Martin responds quickly to any questions and parts are shipped quickly. He emails a quote and you pay via Paypal.
Tauchen - Cave, Nitrox, Rebreather Ausbildung, Tec Ausrüstung, Reisen

W+S Water Safety is another supplier. I have no experience with them, it would help to know German when ordering but with a net translator like Bablefish it can probably be done.
W+S Water Safety GmbH - Dräger Kreislauftauchgeräte Ersatzteile

Hi,

right now and for the future we do not expect any problems with draeger parts.
So far any way in some countries in the world Aqualug did not sell Draege parts.

Till today there is no official statement what will happen in 2008, (except Aqualung will not continue). But parts will be available of course.

Greetings

Martin

They have English options on their website but it isn't always too clear. If you are just ordering 2-3 items then I've found Tecme much cheaper because W&S have a minimum shipping charge which to the UK is too expensive.

Martin's prices are cheaper and he's always been helpful.

Cheers,

Stuart

Re: Drager Rebreather

They do speak English at W+S, and the exploratory views of parts on their website can be pretty helpful identifying the correct part.

Out of curiosity, is there anyone here that has any really good experiences with Dräger customer service from Aqualung? Would be news to me, so far all the feedback or remarks I got from SoCal to my LDS (Dräger/Aqualung dealer no less) here in Germany were between bad and abysmally so.

Re: Drager Rebreather

I would say good bye and good ridance to Aqualung. Now if we can get their grubby d--- Skinners off of the US distribution of Apeks that would be good news.
