Depends on bailout volume (using high RMV) and minimal decompression needs, and logistics constraints are.

I don't see there ever being a set depth where its either one or the other.

Depends on what sort of dive planning you're happy with. I've seen people doing 70-80m with a couple of 7's for bailout. Not my cup of tea though.

For last stop on 6 m i have a 7 ltr bailout only. I think it is enough for this deep. All other bailout tanks are Ali 80´s.
