another ck diver on the way

well after what seems a VERY long wait looks like i'm definately going to be joining the ccr diving community. i have bought ck #75 from louis rankin, thanks to louis for your patience with me and dave for your help and pm's.

think am becoming very sad person now though as all talk about is ck,(my friends seem to be avoiding me!) its taken pride of place in the sitting room and cant stop touching it. spend my evenings reading manual and looking at it. might get bit braver and actually start to do something to it like unscrew the scrubber canister!

my mod1 is taking place on 29th oct in stoney and swanage, spend all winter in stoney so that seems like home, never dived at swanage though.

must admit do feel bit overwhelmed by everything i need to learn but felt like this when started in twins and deco. just getting bit fed up with justifying my decision to move to ccr to my oc buddies, who reckon i'll be dead within a year, cheerful lot!

well hopefully if i dont have too many blonde moments i will be qualified ck diver by start of nov then will be putting in hours at stoney, and gildy if REALLY desperate! any volunteers as buddies, promise i wont talk as much as normally do and will buy the tea and bacon butties!

I forgot to give you the Kiss tool to undo the scrubber, are you going to the dive show on Saturday?

Rule 1- Never Justify Rebreather purchase to anyone- it can't be done and if they don't understand they Won't understand!

Rule 2- Fiddle, lots.

Rule 4- Relax, Its not difficult, if it was there wouldn't be 10000 people on this Forum

Good luck with your training, Swanage is a really nice place to dive, Stoney sucks but hell- you're not there to sightsee!

Give us a shout if you want a buddy over the winter. I was up your way on Sunday, shore diving the Roselie off Weyborne. Nice little wreck. Shallow but makes a change from boat diving. Give us a call on Saturday at the show.
