How much deco do you usually do ?

Select the amount of deco that you normally do on week-end dives, or when you dive.

Again, DO NOT select the total run-time of the dive (i.e. subtract BT from your RT for the selection you want)

This should coincide to the selection you chose on the average depth you normally do.

DON'T select the maximum deco that you have done.

Re: How much deco do you usually do ?

Every dive seems to be an hour or more. Ill go with an hour+ for almost all routine dives recently.
50-90 range always racks it up if you want real bottom time.

Re: How much deco do you usually do ?

I said 120mins plus, whether i need to do all that much is another discussion all together

Yesterdays dive was 130mins deco. 170mins run time for about 40mins at 67-69m

ATB

Mark

EDIT: Sorry didnt read the question properly I supose my averave is more like 106-120 for deco alone. Looking back Id say my average run time is between 140 and 180mins but the percentage deco will depend on the depth because we do wreck in the 50-80m range so some of the 140-160min runs had 50-60mins on the wreck.

If a mod can alter it please do?

Re: How much deco do you usually do ?

Ah. Cobblers. I've made the same mistake as others

I'm afraid that it doesn't make sense to talk about a "usual" dive for me - there is such a range depending on whether I'm teaching, with the club, etc. etc.

But if I were going out for a "me-dive" then I'd expect a two hour runtime so just over an hour of deco.

Janos

Sorry Michael, it is aimed for "normal" people, not diving "heroes"...

What is your usual deco time diving in India, BTW ?

Re: How much deco do you usually do ?

Hummm...
If I histogramed it there would be a big bump at one hour because that is my emotional limit (45mins TTS on my wrist makes me think about calling it a day) and then a big chunk of club/holiday diving at 0-10mins because hanging on a string is so boring.

I went for 0-15 as the average will be in there somewhere.

Re: How much deco do you usually do ?

choosing a "normal" deco is hard since it really depends.. If I'm diving in cold water its one thing but if I dive in warm water its much longer..

In warm water I dont hesitate doing more than 2 hours of deco, even 3 hours is pretty common, but if I'm in cold waters.. I try to limit hangs around 1 hour or so.. I don't feel like endangering my life should I somehow flood my drysuit.. Its really the only failure you cant do anything about..
