![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Which scooter? I realise that this is not strictly related to rebreathers, but I was hoping to tap into the considerable experience here, and there may be some aspects specific to rebreathers that I had not thought of. If I were to choose between the Silent-submersion and the X-scooter, what should I consider? Those of you who have experience with both: which one would you prefer, and why? Thanks Joerg |

I have used both the N-19 and X. Both are excellent scooters. I decided to go with the N-19 since it has a longer duration for a single battery.. 100 minutes. ![]() | Re: Which scooter? I have a UV-18 and I love it. my buddies have UV-18 and UV-26 bodies to switch to. It was recommended to me from a friend that has owned one for over 7 years. He has 3 of them and has had great luck with the scooter and with the service from Rodney... I had no messing around with Trim on my. Bought it and picked it up fully charged and went straight to the dive sight and let er rip. That was 3years ago and I am thinking about a second one. But thinking more about a Rebreather now. I am still on OC so take my decision for what it is worth. I have been on Gavin's, makos, tekna's and SS. Never had the chance to ride an X. |

They work great here in the Lake and we have shipped them to Florida to use cave diving also where they performed well. Have used Silent Submersion also. Great scooter!!! For what we do the X Scooter fit the bill better. Much lighter easier to load on boats here going lake diving. Good luck. |

Had a chap use a hammer to fit the battery pack. Sad scooter. We own UV-18, UV-42 and N-19's. Wouldn't look any further. SS are the best!!!!!!!! ![]() ![]() ![]()

![]() | Re: Which scooter? Anyone diving the N-19 in cold 3-4C waters? what kind of runtimes do you get? Also hows the torque offset, do you get tired scootering on longer dives? Last edited by Nepa : 4th October 2007 at 04:58. |

They seem to not care much for NiMH batteries. Or maybe they're just providing full disclosure? Has anyone really only seen 30min runtimes on the N19 without the weekly battery maintenance they talk about? Seems like a 30min runtime could be a real bummer if you're expecting 100mins. |
