Re: Are Apeks DS4's good for 100m+ ?

My deepest OC dive was 124m in fairly cold water (Loch Ness) on all Apeks TX40/DST regs. In fact, my primary reg was (at that point) an original 1st gen T40D/DST, at that point about eight years old and never serviced. They all worked perfectly. Really nice regs, I've had no qualms about them.

Cheers,

Stuart

DS4 = 4 x 3/8" UNF MP ports, and 1 x 7/16 UNF HP

DST = 1 x 1/2" UNF MP port, 3 x 3/8" UNF MP ports, and 1 or 2 x 7/16 UNF HP (not sure about HP - my stuff is at home and I am at work)

yes, but..

if you for example have an auto-air mounted, better to reduce the MP a bit, or stiffen (??) the 2nd stage a bit, so that it does not free flow at depth, due to the overcompensation

in the beginning... (:-) we had auto-airs on the rEvo I and if well adjusted at surface, they started to freeflow at around 90-95m... funny seeing your dir of offboards flusching away at that depth :-)
