Re: Virginia Beach area

Not sure about VA Beach, but Ocean City, MD... a little further up the coast (3.5 hours). OC Diver is a good boat & rebreather friendly.

See OCDIVER for Ted's schedule. The season is winding down up here.... His last dives are toward the end of October. If the weather is decent and your going to be available during the week we can try to get something together if the weekends are full or aren't when you want to dive.

Re: Virginia Beach area

I'm west coast rightnow but think the job market is going to be pushing me to the east and I was just wondering what was going on in Virginia. I Google search does not yield very many CCR folks out there.

Re: Virginia Beach area

My boat is more like 2 to 2.5 hours from VA Beach.

Re: Virginia Beach area

There are a few charters out of VA Beach, both Rec and Tech. The water is cold and green so I would recommend a dry suit for comfort.

Now you can do that or just head a few hours south to the Outer banks or Morehead City and dive in the clear, warm, blue gulf stream.

Are you looking for a Rec or Tech type charter?

What area of Virginia are you looking at? I know of about 10 Rebreather divers in the Richmond Area

Re: Virginia Beach area

I am looking in the Hampton Roads/Suffolk/Norfolk area.

Thanks for the heads up on the vis and water temps -- I gave up diving wet years ago.

Rec/Tec -- either or. Somebody that is Rebreather friendly.

Is there that much of a difference between Virginia and the Carolinas?

Thank you for your comments.
