Which Helium Analyser to Buy

Im pondering what Helium Analyser I should buy to replace my old Nuvair He Pro.

I have looked at the offerings from Analox & Vandergraph and cannot seem to decide, both appear to be priced the same and are comparable in function.

Any recomendations would be appreciated.

Regards

Ian

Re: Which Helium Analyser to Buy

Check out these guys at dive soft,
Divesoft s.r.o.

i was dead impressed when i got my hands on one.
it does every thing you will need and loads of other stuff like ammeter and volt meter.
and it doesn't use a He sensor as such but uses ultrasonics, so there is not sensor to be replaced and has a built in mix computer
and on top of this it is a He and o2 analyser in one unit.
kind regards john routley

Re: Which Helium Analyser to Buy

Funny co-incidence, I was trying to find out more information about a unit that looked remarkably like the Divesoft analyser, although it was called the Helyzer I think. There is a photo of it in the IART gas blender's manual. Thanks for the info John.

Cheers,

Ben.

Patrick at OxyCheq sells the Teledyne MixChek helium analyzers, which are good value for money and they work very well.

I have had one for 2 or 3 years.

Here is another one. I've heard good things about this. I also planning to purchase analyser, but haven't made my mind yet.

Re: Which Helium Analyser to Buy

I have had an Analox for 2 years or so now, am very happy and have had no problems.

Cheers,

Looks very nice!
Using ultrasound is interesting - I wonder if it would work in a condensing environment? Imagining a Rebreather which has 3 cyls O2, air, heliox, and runs at constant PO2, and constant END! Would enable a gradual controlled switch fro He to N2.
