Lines in my Vr3 display

Hi!
After just 6 dives with my brand new Vr3 computer with color screen a line appeared on the display. It goes vertical over the right side of the screen where the watch is.
Anyone have the same problem and might know what to do about it?

I recently got a horizontal line straight through the middle of my monochrome screen around the same time a button broke, drained my battery, and zeroed the VR3. I fixed the button (but not quickly enough) and still have the line and now I've got the joy of re-entering PINs etc. I can still make out the characters on the screen, but it looks like the line is a couple pixels thick and goes all the way across. Not sure if its just from not handling the LCD with kid gloves or its old age setting in - I'd also like to know if this has been a problem for people and they've done anything about it.

I've had a single row of pixels out across the centre of my screen of over a year now - occasionally it'll return, but generally it's gone. It's not distorting any of the text enough to be a concern, so I've not done anything further about it. I mailed DeltaP about it, and apparently it can be caused by the unit taking a knock on one of the corners, and can only be fixed by fitting a new screen. Here is the salient info I got back from DeltaP:

Have you see this type of fault before, and if so, what is the usual cause?

The computer has received a blow on the top right-hand edge.

Can it be repaired, or would the screen need replacing?

Yes, you need a replacement LCD.

If the screen needs replacing, what is the cost?

£45.00 including VAT

What is the cost os a colour screen upgrade, and does the colour
screen need the backlight on all the time in order to read it?

The cost of upgrading to a Colour screen is £198.56. This includes an upgrade to the latest Version 3.0 software, which is required to run a colour screen.

Thanks - at least if I'm ever looking to sell it I can advise that the screen can be replaced relatively cheaply
