| Earning the green stuff.. Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Diving after DEMA Thanks for the info, I will probably make a seperate trip for the Oriskany rather than driving that 8-9hr trip for one day of diving. Unfortunately, to find nice ocean wrecks, you're going to be driving a few hours regardless if you go NW or SE. Not sure but Orlando to Key Largo is about as far as to Destin (Oriskany). Now Pompano/Ft Lauderdale is closer but still a few hours to get there. Hope to see you at Dema again.![]() I'm vote for finding a spot, getting a charter for 2 days (spending nite in a reasonable local hotel) and doing some wreck diving.

Will be driving truck down from northern IL w/ all needed bits & gear, so will be fully self contained. Drove down to dive it in late Dec. but charters blew out (was stuck being effin’ charming to inlaws for a week & didn’t even get to dive ) so I’m definitely suffering from divus interruptus. Haven’t booked charter yet- I know should be done sooner rather than later. Would definitely be up for group gaggle.Question for the FL panhandle locals: is the post-DEMA season dry suit time or still wetsuit season? Ken

I will likely have a group diving out of Pompano Beach with South Florida Diving Headquarters. We will be there atleast Monday through Friday after Dema diving the usual stuff down to and including the Hydro Atlantic and the RBJ. Most of the group will be CCR with some doing advanced training. Trimix, O2, and kitty litter will be available. Ted

I have not done any diving in Florida so I have not a clue for the best diving would be. Getting a charter for a couple of days of diving sound great to me. Need a place that we can get bailout cyclinders also.

![]() | Re: Diving after DEMA Hi Barrie! I will have my meg with me. I can arrange you some tanks and the sofnolime - no bid deal. If you like to take your OC stuff doubles / stage tanks and lamps are no problem! I have some good connections there.... The rest you need your own. You can bring up to 2x23kg and 1 x 8kg to the US. Just let me know if i can help you! Best regards Horst P.S.: Thanks got my sofnolime very quick! quote=Barrie Law;127127]Some diving after DEMA sounds like a plan and I would be interested in some relaxing stuff maybe even have a look at some caves Horst. I think gear may be a problem for us European visitors unless we pallet ship all our kit before hand?? Or even hire some O/C gear... [/quote] |

I volunteer ScubaDad to organize it ![]() Ted
