I'm happily religiously anal about it all, i've a written check list that i go through check by check, close the door of the kitchen and blank anyone and everything till its all done. I'm of the opinion it'll only take one slip and the consequences aren't going to be nice, distracted by a phone call or conversation and i've missed something important.

and oddly enough i find it strangely theraputic to take my time and make sure everythings working ok.

Ditto for the pre-dive. For the post-dive pretty much never - I just turn off the batteries (except for once - that was annoying) and cylinder valves and check the pressure on the gauges (SP already set to manual and HUD already disabled at the surface).

Re: Pre Dive, Post Dive Check Lists, Who uses them?

I always run a full pre-dive checklist everytime. I'm still new to Rebreather's so I don't want to miss something but I don't plan on ditching the checklist even when I have more time on the rig. Post dive is just a short list of items mostly to remember to write down anything I had issues with during the dive such as an adjustment need here or a chance in configuration there.

I did the MOD1 this year, so I'm still very cautious and doing check and double checks!

Re: Pre Dive, Post Dive Check Lists, Who uses them?

Pre-dive check list as a reference to anything I may have forgotten to do.

When I was first started I used it all the time but once a routine was established, I use it at the end to insure I didn't forget anything.
