Follow my logic .... the rEvo uses Drager Ray hoses. My Airtess bailout Rebreather mouthpiece uses Ray parts. I can fit a Cooper hose over the Flapper valve (Ray part). Sooooooo they should fit but I have not tried them on my rEvo yet.

regards Baz

PS you can't fit two Cooper hoses on the Airtess mouthpiece which is a real bugger.
What about the length of the hoses, will it be compatible with the rEvo?

Baz,

What is the outside diameter of these hoses? (Assume that's why you can't put them on the Airtess DSV...) Thanks.

Dan

Bazza is an unknown quantity at this point
Re: Cooper Hoses Anyone?????

Hi Dan .... a hose will fit over the flapper valve easy, the problem comes when you want to put two of them on the unit. The gap between the valve stems which hold the flapper valve is to small to allow two hoses side by side. The thickness of the hose stops two hoses going on side by side.

I think that explains it ???

Baz,

That's what I figured. I'm wondering if they'll fit on the spigots on a BP 240 center section, which are 1.75" center to center. Not sure if either the OD of the cuff or the OD of the corrugated section might be too large
Thanx.

Finally managed to place my order for a pair of Cooper's. Great! $188, about £90, not bad.Got a call today (2 days later) to say they had arrived in the UK! Great! ...and then was told I owed another £27 in tax!!! bugger!!!
Should be here tomorrow, so I will be checking the paperwork,as that sounds a bit high?!
Surely should only be 17.5%?

No, duty on the import first, then VAT on the lot.

Isn't Gordon Brown a lovely chap?

Did anyone actually vote for the spendthrift C**t?

Cheers,

Dave Cooper.

PS Oh how I love living in Europe.

Re: Cooper Hoses Anyone?????

My ones should turn up soon

Any body dived them yet? do they still need weights?

I was thinking of two bungee loops from the wing to the hoses to hold them down rather than the coiled lead.

Any problems with my idea?

I've been using velcro loops on the original Kiss hoses and just did it yesterday with the Cooper hoses but not from the wing: one side is O2 hoses (MAV) velcroed with breathing hose, other side is BOV LP hose velcroed with the other breathing hose. Works a treat, keep them down, no weight needed for me.
Best

I dived mine today, no loops, but with the hose weights from the original unit. Didn't need any extra lead, but if you're not using hose weights of any sort then a loop of bungee or surgical tubing might cover it.

So lovely. They can join the list of bargains for this year. So many blown out dives I've got time to go looking for deals on dive gear and new ideas!

Digs.
