You may well have been a victim of some spat (I don't know one way or the other), but your desire to harbor and nurse the offense is not doing you or anyone here any good. It's your choice, not your age, that's keeping old wounds fresh. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: One of us need to go - may as well be me :D I've learnt in a few years of arsing about on internet forums that when a few people are throwing shit around, no-one comes out looking good. You just all end up covered in shit. If you want to take your ball in and not play any more then go ahead. 12 months ago I'd have spent good money flying out to dive with either Mike or Cedric. Now I wouldn't dive with either if they flew to come see me. You only have yourselves to blame. I don't care who's right. I doubt, as with almost any situation, that either of you is in the right, or that either of you has told the truth about every little fact. I don't dive a Meg, I'm not French, and I'd rather see a diving forum discussing diving instead of pissing about playing at holding two adults acting like I did when I was 16 apart. I don't post much on here, but sometimes enough is enough. Instead of attracting the "don't go Mike, we really want you to stay" posts, I would suggest that a sensible response from most would be "ho hum, Mike used to talk about his diving, suddenly it's all about someone else, and then it's all about having a row". I'm not going to beg you to stay, and I don't think the rest of Rebreather World is that bothered either. Digs. |

Your technical opinion is well appreciated by rebreather divers in this forum. Not your aggressiveness. well, that pretty much sums it up in a nut shell. I think some people have a hard time hearing the sound of their own voice...If Dr Mike could just leave the aggressive, self righteous, grating tone out and stick with sharing his oppinion from a somewhat humble but very experienced perspective, I think it's fair to say we'd all rather have him stay...and both of you just make up or leave each other alone.cheers IMHO g

Why can't people just use the ignore function?I don't post much on here, but sometimes enough is enough. I am quite sure that most french don't care about your different point of vue. Come on, you're smarter than that, don't fall into this caricature. ![]()

You just all end up covered in shit. I don't disagree, but it seems this was a circumstance where it was necessary. One's livelihood was being put in severe jeopardy via Rebreather World (to me the most useful Rebreather resource I've come across yet). In the absence of an alternative, there had to be a public fight between them of some kind. As mentioned in another thread, I've dealt with Cedric and the whole interaction was successful. As far as I knew/know, a very stand-up, honourable, and credible man. The tone of accusations made are/were extreme and severe. Question is, was the attempted implication appropriate? What was the degree of personal vendetta? What can be done to mitigate this sort of thing in the future, whilst maintaining an ability for "whistle blowing" where appropriate? |

Maybe best 2 falls out of three, each wearing their rebreatehr with the dirty socks of their opponent lining their scrubbers. Rebreatherworld's first payper view event. ![]()
