![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Which Rebreather? There are many good RBs out there. Inspo/Evolution, Meg, etc.. I see your from the USA. Me too. I have dived all 3 of the above units. You should have good support here in the USA with Inner Space in WA and SDS in NH. I have had lots of good experiences with SDS sending me parts and spares quickly. There is a lot of buzz about the rEvo but you will have to consider issues with training, support and spare bits in the US as this is a new unit. Also consider what you can learn from other divers. You will see other Inspos, Evo and Megs but rarely a Boris, rEvo or other European Rebreather at this time. But, only beacuse these have not been on the market as long and are made overseas. So, you will not see as many people on the dive boat to bouce questions and compare unit specific issues. You will have to use Rebreather World for that. There are lots of used classic Inspos for sale. Most seem to be in the $3,800.00 to $5,000.00 range. You will have no onboard deco with the classic (or Kiss) so you will probably want to also invest in a constant PP02 computer like a VR3. Lots more $$$ to consider. Otherwise you will be back to diving tables and whats the point of that. Dave |
