My personal opinion is the quality control problems at Teledyne began when they exported production out of their US facility to Mexico. -- Mark Last edited by schford : 29th March 2007 at 20:50. Maybe i´m the odd one here but i have tried 2 AI sensors and in a 3months period they did fall out of mv range, rather quickly in the end... haiDon´t trust your sensors whatever brand they are, but you all probably knew that... same same 3 ai sensors 18 months old unused and unopenend.now 0,2-0,3 milli volt. ![]() gruss sepp |

| So much more to learn ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: O2 cells falling appart - bad batch? Wow. Excellent. It is called the PSR-11-39-DC. Just order them. When will you have the PSR-11-39-MD with SMB connectors? On sensors failing, AI implemented improvements to the sensors for diving as a result of this study, to make the cells more robust. That was the only real area we identified as needing improvement. All the -DC cells have this improvement, and if you are buying -MDs, request it with the Deep Life improvement. Pls PM me if you have any quality problems with these: we are monitoring the situation running forwards and would like to know. Alex Last edited by AD_ward9 : 30th March 2007 at 14:52. |

Yes, AII has finalized the design for the PSR-11-39-DC, but they have yet to begin production. To be sure, CCRsense will begin stocking them as soon as they come out of the QC checks at the Pomona production facility. Will keep Rebreather World posted.

This is a known fact because the galvanic material becomes "O2 starved" and the anode/cathode path becomes unstable*. 18 months? Who told you that O2 sensors would be good if left unopened for 18 months? *caused by the evaporation of the water that carries the potassium hydroxide electrolyte as as per Alex's study.

Well.... yes the mfg say 24 months in the bag (it even says so on my website where I'm selling the things but ).... and I would faithfully carry a spare in my spares kit, I can't say that I ever opened one that had been rattling around in the bag a year or two and had it work... |
