Would you like a reference from the previous owner, Hal Gartner ?

May be I should have given it more chance to prove itself instead of giving up after just 1 dive but usually when the gear doesn't work the first time around, they don't stay around very long with me - unless I need a specific unique feature that I can't get easily elsewhere.

It's interesting that people say that, as it's not my experience. It's usually heard from people who've never even tried them, but I could have guaranteed that you've owned a pair ;-)

This is one of those products that seems to get only one of two responses - love or hate. There's no in between.

Agree that the kicking motion has to be changed, though not completely. The first couple of dives, it felt as if I had left my fins behind on the boat. After that, I just loved them. Frog kicking is my normal mode of propulsion with them, so that works fine for me. I suspect that one dive is not enough to make the transition, and that frog-kicking is a higher order skill than normal finning, so will take even longer.

I had exactly the same first dive experience. I thought they had fallen off I was amazed to be moving forward flapping nothing but my feet.

However i found maneuvering in force fins really tricky. Its so easy in Turtles or Quatros but in these I struggled.

I never tried them again but i am sure once you got used to them the light weight would be great. Thing was it gave me floaty feet and i hate ankle weights.

That's funny!

I did have a pair of force fin extras that I used for years...until I started diving doubles. They just didn't give me enough push. I have jets now, but I wonder now that I'm off the doubles.

No, I'll trust you

I can understand that. I stuck with them because they had features that I wanted (size, ease of donning, comedy value with diving buddies). I wouldn't change them now.

Cheers,
