![]() | Breathing Heavy Just an innocent question, I had a quick 15 minute go on a Submatix unit and found myself breathing like a race horse having run a derby almost hyperventelating. Is that normal for a first time go on a rebreather?. I found i missed the reassuring sound of being on open circuit and the rush of air when i breathed in. Just interested in thoughts really i was a little light on the quick dive which probably did not help the situation Last edited by scubasteve67 : 22nd March 2007 at 16:37. |

Is that normal for a first time go on a rebreather?. Your symtoms are typical CO2 breakthrough. Did you pack the scrubber, was it fresh or had the unit been used for a while already?I found i missed the reassuring sound of being on open circuit and the rush of air when i breathed in.
