Diving Hawaii, where and with whom?

Will be on the Odyssey in Truk in Novemeber with a group of Rebreather buddies.
Have an opportunity to stop in Hawaii for a few days on the way back.
Any suggestions as to where to go for some good diving, and recommendations for Rebreather friendly dive shops?

Not that I know from firsthand experience but when I was buying my HUD Bruce Partridge mentioned he was heading to Kona to dive with Konaquatica.

Konaquatica Dive Center

I wasn't aware of them prior to his mention of them but they're now on my radar. Now it's just a matter of getting the time/$ to make it back to Hawaii. He said they're a full service Rebreather shop so tanks and sorb are available.

They even have an Optima diver there, Seafox...it's just a matter of time before he chimes in.

Feel free to call me if you are coming over to Oahu. I've got plenty of O2 and sorb, a boat, and a boosting station. I'm not a shop, but I'm happy to do some diving!

If you want a list of Rebreather friendly shops on Oahu, let me know.

I dove with Konaquatica last June and have nothing but good things to say about Jim Holt. He had O2, sorb, and even cylinders for hire. They do rec (my wife had a great time), tech and Rebreather (Jim's an IANTD instructor). If your in Kona make sure you hit the Manta night dive.

Definately do the manta dive, if your going to do ANY shore dives hit up place of refuge...all the shops in kona are really great...the whole place is really a divers town.

B&B Scuba on Maui may be one of your best bets. Rebreather friendly, etc. Maui has some great spots.
