Re: Dive Insurance

It looks comperable to what DAN offers. Any insurance is better than none. My father died last month in a dive accident, and for whatever reason, he decided he didn't need dive insurance. My step mother emailed me last night that she is starting to get the hospital bills. $7,000 for the first hour in the ER. $100k + for the first bill. I'm sure more will follow. We still don't know how much his primary insurance will cover.

Re: Dive Insurance

DAN down here is Aus now only cover to 90m, regardless of training. I have taken out the Divesafe Insurance (which is through TDI, is it not?), as have my buddies. Also, this is considerably cheaper.
The true test of any insurance company is when you make a claim, and none of us have had to, and hope not to either.
My experiences have all been good though.

Re: Dive Insurance

The greatest pain with DAN in Australia and Asia is the terrible process for joining and then renewing. You think they might consider joining the internet age.
