Dave,

Its the "write down your ppO2 so you see how LONG it takes you to Metabolize your loop down".

One of the presumptions of the course is that you do not intentionally kill yourself doing this drill...

Yup on all.

We just got an interesting toy at work, essentially a on-the-fly electronic gas mixing system that blends 02 and nitrogen (pure each) into an 02/Nitrogen mix that we can vary between 100% and 7% 02. We put pilots on a mask with the stuff and make them fly the Falcon simulator. This is designed for us for teaching high altitude hypoxia, but the use for rebreather training is obvious. Some of the outcomes are comical.... and we give a free DVD of the event to the pilot so he can amuse himself later. Nice equipment. It's just a PP02 eCCR system without the "rebreather" attached. Great training tool.

Is there no way to weazel some of the software/hardware source code out of Oceanic. Or some reverse engineering. Prob not.
