The Declaration attached in the above post is for the Machinery Directive. current edition 98/37/EC. The rebreather falls under the scope of the Personal Protective Equipment Directive 89/686/EEC which requires notified Body approval in law. In summary the Declaration is as purposeful as toilet paper. <edit> there was no second document to reference to in the original comment.

The addition of the back page makes things very different.![]() Any chance someone can translate it word for word? I cant really determine much as is.

Hi,The Declaration attached in the above post is for the Machinery Directive. current edition 98/37/EC. The 89/392/EC is out of date and superceded as it was amalgamated with some amendments/comments. Ergo, it does not exist as stated. Second, the rebreather falls under the scope of the Personal Protective Equipment Directive 89/686/EEC which requires notified Body approval in law. In summary the Declaration is as purposeful as toilet paper. this is what I thought reading the declaration posted above, how come can it happend ? it is crazy !! there is something queer in this story..... it is perfectly unfair for the competition. regards jean mi

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: submatix EC approuval organism Hello Jean-Mi, It is a petty because if they have certified the submatix as a ccr kiss style rebreather they could not refuse to do it again for the competitors.Don't loose your time, Paul Raymaekers tried to contact them with no success. Their address is on the PDF file attached. ![]() the rebreather ec norm says : 5.7.1 Inspired partial pressure of oxygen The apparatus shall under all conditions of use specified by the manufacturer automatically maintain an inspired partial pressure of oxygen greater than 0,20 bar. The inspired partial pressure of oxygen shall remain within the limits specified by the manufacturer. The inspired partial pressure of oxygen shall also be maintained at a partial pressure of less than or equal to 1,6 bar; except during the descent phase(s) of a dive for a period not greater than 1 min where it may increase to a maximum of 2,0 bar. if the submatix is really a ccr kiss style rebreather, and as a kiss can't maintain automaticaly any partial pressure, there is nothing automatic in a kiss.... if nevertheless the submatix obtained this certification ok no problem, but it is clea that it would be unfair that the competitors could not get the certification !!! it s either everybody either no body !!! regards jean mi

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: submatix EC approval organisation This is the same Gost-Office that released the Toiletp... (sorry) the certificate to the Voyager. They DON'T have any piece of technology to test a rebreather. They can just give the same cert as for a safety Jacket. Try to search somewhere on Rebreather World, someone posted the CE cert. of the Voyager... I did think Submatix guys were a bit more serious, not that the CE cert has a big importance but they advertise the rig as CE certificated!! Well, finally it isn't that bad, one more machine to cancel from my list. Paul, please, you made a really nice and "smart" rebreather, don't fall in the same WC. Best, Nad
